THE STORY

Annalisa Battuello i40The story of the Tenuta I Quaranta estate is the story of a lightning strike, of love at first sight; Annalisa's falling in love at the first sight of the vines and the soil that would later become the Estate… and it is also the story of Annalisa, which is inseparably linked to the Estate itself. Annalisa is a 40-year-old woman, a car designer with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After having lived 2 years in India, her initial certainty as to the quality of the life that she was living until that moment began to give way to a subtle dissatisfaction and "mal de vivre", which she had not acknowledged before. For this reason, she decided to revive an old passion (plants, flowers and nature) and, for pleasure, enrolled herself at the University of Agriculture. She chose to study oenology, following, in this case, a more recent passion for the world of wine. A year later, lightning struck when she saw this gentle valley for the first time, undisturbed, peaceful, with its vines with their ancient perfume, and fell in love. Here the history is more recent. Annalisa resigned from her job and decided to dedicate herself completely to viticulture and to the production of wine.

She planned the redevelopment of the existing farmhouse, so as to have the space necessary to produce vine from the estate's grapes on the premises and above all, with the help of an expert agronomist and equally an expert wine maker, she has prepared a plan to restructure of the vineyards, rationalising the existing vines and planting new varieties. You will be able to find the result in the wines that are produced.
